Overview

Why go on the Back-to-Nature Trek at Bijli Mahadev?

Here's some inside information. Most of our treks are rigorous. Even easy-moderate treks like Dayara Bugyal require you to trek 6-8 hours daily, leaving you little time or energy to bask in nature.  Here's where Bijli Mahadev makes a difference.

On the Bijli Mahadev trek, you complete your trek in the first few hours of the day, which leaves you with an enormous amount of time to soak in the surroundings.

These are not ordinary settings. You're trekking and camping within a few of the most enchanting forests of the Kullu Valley. These deodar forests are magical at any time of the year. In winter, they are draped in snow. In summer, they have sunlight streaming through the woods. In monsoon, the floor is lush and teeming with life. The intoxicating scent of the forest is enough to send your senses soaring.

But that’s not all. Did you know Indiahikes trek leaders are trained naturalists? They take you on a captivating guided journey through these forests. They bring incredible insights about the forests, birds, insect life, animals, mountains, and the culture. In three days, you will learn more about plants, animals, and life than you did in all your education years. All without any lecture.

Additionally, they conduct meaningful experiences and reflections designed to help you reconnect with yourself. Thanks to their facilitation skills, you'll have the opportunity to connect deeply with yourself. At the end of the trek, you return home rejuvenated and with fresh perspectives on life.

To culminate the experience, you climb to the famous Bijli Mahadev temple above 9,000 ft. The views from the Bijli Mahadev temple are stunning. On a clear day, you see a panoramic view of the Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar ranges. We have designed our itinerary so that you can witness a sunset from the top and the stunning alpenglow on these majestic peaks. You also see four valleys from the top: Kullu, Bhuntar, Parbati, and the Gorsa Valley.

The best gift you can give yourself is the opportunity to spend time in these forests with a thoughtfully designed experience. By the end of the trek, you'll feel that three days were far too short. The trek is ideal for anyone: young, elderly, solo trekkers, groups or families.
